Transit Planning Advisory Committee (TPAC)
What is the TPAC?
Upon adoption of the Wake County Transit Plan and an associated Interlocal Governance Agreement (ILA) between the CAMPO Executive Board, GoTriangle Board of Trustees, and the Wake County Board of Commissioners, the Wake County Transit Planning Advisory Committee (TPAC) was created. The ILA made the CAMPO Executive Board and the GoTriangle Board of Trustees responsible for leading the ongoing technical and financial planning related to Wake Transit Plan implementation. The TPAC is a staff-level advisory committee comprised of representatives from agencies and local governments with jurisdiction in Wake County. The TPAC is responsible for developing and coordinating a wide variety of planning and policy-level tasks and has the authority to delegate specific tasks to designees to ensure the work is completed in an efficient and effective manner.
The TPAC serves in a structured advisory role to the CAMPO Executive Board and the GoTriangle Board of Trustees. One of the TPAC's core responsibilities is the development and recommendation of the Annual Wake Transit Work Plan which is adopted each June.
Governance documents as well as copies of adopted policies and plans are located in the TPAC Document Library.
